Kutiman: Reconstructed Classic Israeli Groove

Israeli artist Kutiman first achieved international prominence with his video Thru You where he took different unrelated videos of musicians on YouTube and remixed both the audio and the video into pure funky gold. For this video, Kutiman got his hands on a mess of classic Israeli performances by artists such as Gidi Gov, Zohar Argov, Izhar Cohen, Boaz Sharabi and more, and remixed it into what is both a contemporary groove and a look back at a simpler, perhaps more innocent time. It’s certainly interesting and has a great beat! Pure remix alchemy!

You can see more of Kutiman’s remixes on his YouTube channel – I am particularly fond of his 2 minute Jerusalem vid, but ya know, they’re all fun!
