Israelis (Try to) Explain Thanksgiving

Israelis kind of love America. They love to visit America, they love to move to America, they love to live and work illegally in America while trying to sell you shit out of mall kiosks, etc. Yet, they often have a distorted understanding of American traditions and customs – chief among them is the holiday of Thanksgiving. Butchers at the market often ask me “Why all of a sudden every November everyone American wants to buy a whole Turkey??” They are unfamiliar with the cuisine as well and here in Israel we have a refreshing lack of seasonal Pumpkin Spice, uh… everything.

But all Israelis have opinions, even on things they know nothing about. So… enjoy this really funny clip where Israelis attempt to explain Thanksgiving while eating some foods associated with it. Happy Thanksgiving America!
