Tu Bishvat – The Dumbest Jewish Holiday?

Props to Yossi Tarablush. He’s an Israeli comedian, based in Israel, who nonetheless performs stand up comedy in English. I mean it’s hard enough being funny in your own language, but then to accomplish such a feat in a language you didn’t grow up in? Awesome. So, tomorrow is the Jewish holiday of Tu Bishvat – basically, New Years for the trees. You can read all about the holiday here. It is celebrated as a kind of ecological awareness day and folks usually eat fruits and nuts, either informally or in a sort of Tu Bishvat seder with wine accompaniment.
